Great guys at Wheeltraders. Ordered 2 fronts for my M3 from Black Circles and chose to have them fitted there. Will definitely return for all future requirements, including wheel refurb. Nice to find a local place to use with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Thank you!
A hidden gem .really good place to get new tyres and friendly staff....
The guys at Wheeltraders really helped me out a couple of years back now. I had a mare, and had ordered some alloys and tyres online and took them to a different but very local to me tyre fitter to have them fitted. The alloys arrived with tyres on and balanced, and I already fitted the spigot rings provided, so this other 'tyre fitter' only had to swap them over. Would have done it myself if I had a jack, breaker bar and torque wrench with the right socket, but I digress. This 'fitter' took the old alloys off my car but failed to remove the old plastic spigot rings which were stuck on the hub. He installed the new alloys with their spigot rings already in place and suffice it to say, about 50 miles later I checked the bolts as you do and to my horror my wheels were loose. I mean full on loose, the bolts could have easily just fell out had I continued driving and can you image the accident waiting to happen! Anyway after that I had zero faith in the fitter so didnt go back, I also tried another local tyre/alloy/suspension place whom didnt speak much English and became quite agitated when I explained the issue and asked him to check. He didn't want to help so I was at a loss. I googled and found Wheel traders. Took the car down and they not only were happy to help but had all the wheels off, discovered the problem (the old remnants of spigot rings on the hubs) and replaced all the wheels and most importantly used a torque wrench to torque them to spec. Its a small detail but its fantastic to see people do this as it is the correct and safest method of ensuring the wheels are done up correctly. The fella there was helpful, explained a few things, made sure the rest of the fit was ok, even though they don't sell or stock the brand of alloys I had seemed to be genuinely helpful. Hundreds of miles later the wheels never presented the same issue again, so I was relieved. It may sound basic, but relying on a car, and obviously not wanting a bad accident, these things do play on your mind. Not sure if the staff will remember but it was a Grey Megane and the alloys were Alutec, matte black jobbies. The price they charged was very fair, and they said to come back after a drive should I want to check the bolt tightness too. I never had to. These guys really sorted me out that day. I had just been made redundant at the time and having had the issue I did with the bolts and wheels on top of everything else, I was so relieved that Wheeltraders could help. Just to clarify, the wheels and bolts etc were not supplied by Wheeltraders, and my issue was caused by an incompetent tyre fitter who had previously fitted the wheels. Wheeltraders got me sorted and back on the road with confidence. Cheers guys n gals.
I found the fitters pleasant, and accommodating. 5*
Fantastic right from the word go. Very happy with my wheels and tyres.R eally professional and helpful. definitely will use them again in the future, I would rate 6 stars if i could....
